I have been very fortunate to have grown up in a family where music was always valued very highly and was often one of the main centres of activity. I sang in a number of community choirs around the world and at some point was asked whether I could lead a group of students in a small informal choir. This grew quite quickly and as my students developed as singers and members of the choir, I grew and developed as a song leader. Since having returned to live in New Zealand in late 2015 I have begun a small and enthusiastic community choir on the Kapiti Coast open to all ages.
