Meet us on Zoom!

Meet us on Zoom! Our next ‘Zoominar’ meeting will be Saturday May 23 at 3pm - this time a panel of song leaders will be discussing their experiences in creating 'video tapestries' (virtual choir videos), and we'll be unpacking the process for our own SLNA video project.

While we’re restricted by Covid limitations, and our choirs can’t meet physically, we’re holding a series of seminars using the Zoom meeting platform, on Saturday afternoons.

This is a chance for song leaders to discuss the new ways we've found to keep our choirs engaged during these challenging times.

Topics will range from online choirs, making rehearsal audio and backing tracks, isolation recording for video production, suitable repertoire, and maintaining inclusion and contact with choir members.

This Saturday we'll be talking about funding and finances, and how the Government Wage Subsidy and new Creative NZ funds for loss of income and arts continuity grants can apply to song leaders. Put it in your diaries now, we'll send the Zoom link out to our membership list on Friday afternoon.

Notes from the sessions will be developed into articles and posted in the members area of our website.

Being able to chat on Zoom is a great way to keep in contact, to put faces to names, and to share our experiences. We hope to see you there!
